Character
Mrs. Beeler
Mrs. Beeler in Futurama (1999), played by Lauren Tom.
Mrs. Beeler drifts through Futurama as one of the show's many incidental faces, a minor presence glimpsed rather than dwelt on. She appears, does what the scene requires, and moves on, part of the vast background hum of New New York life that the show treats with the same offhand invention as its main cast.
Lauren Tom, best known on this show for voicing Amy Wong, brings the same easy specificity to smaller parts like this one, giving even a passing character a distinct voice rather than a generic filler line. It's a small pleasure typical of Futurama: no role too minor for a real comic choice.
She is first seen in the line to the Mom Store in "Attack of the Killer App", but is not referred to by name. She speaks and is named in a deleted scene of that episode.
