Mr. Robot

He appears out of nowhere on a dark subway car, dressed like a 1980s revolutionary, and tells Elliot Alderson he's been chosen for something bigger than himself. Charismatic, unpredictable, and allergic to authority, he leads the hacker collective fsociety with the fervor of a man who believes the whole system deserves to burn.

Christian Slater plays him with a magnetic, unstable energy — part cult leader, part stand-up comedian, part prophet — that makes every scene he's in feel like it could tip into chaos or revelation. The character exists at the exact seam between Elliot's paranoia and his politics, and the show lets that ambiguity do all the work.
