Mr. Kroker

Mr. Kroker turns up as one of the many odd, minor faces that populate the fringes of the Futurama universe, a small role slotted into the show's crowded future-New-York backdrop. He behaves exactly as the moment requires of him, brisk and businesslike, without much fuss made over who he is.

Billy West's gift for disappearing into a voice is the whole trick here: a character who barely registers on the page becomes textured and specific the instant he opens his mouth. It's a small pleasure, but it's the kind of small pleasure Futurama built its background hum out of.
