Mr. Johnson

Mr. Johnson turns up as one of Futurama's passing functionaries, a company man or official of some sort dropped into a scene to deliver news, sign off on a form, or otherwise stand for institutional indifference. He speaks briefly, does his job, and moves on without much fuss.

He's the kind of character Futurama specializes in: a barely-there bureaucrat who exists to puncture a moment with deadpan procedure. David Herman, a regular utility voice for the show, gives him just enough flat affect to land the joke and vanish, which is exactly the job.
