Morning Randolph

Morning Randolph works as Matt LeBlanc's assistant on the show-within-the-show, a bright, breezy presence gliding through the chaos of network television with an easy confidence that has little to do with experience. She's friendly, a little vague, and seems to float above the industry's cutthroat games rather than play them.

The joke is in the gap between her sunny obliviousness and the sharks circling her, and Mircea Monroe plays that gap with perfect comic timing, never winking at the audience. She's funniest when she seems least aware of the mess around her, a small dose of pure daylight in a show built on flop sweat and ego.
