Morgan Simianer

Morgan Simianer is one of the smallest bodies on the Navarro College cheer mat and one of the steadiest presences in the gym. A flyer trusted to be thrown and caught without flinching, she speaks softly, works constantly, and carries herself with a self-sufficiency that suggests she has had to build it herself, long before cheer.

Cheer lets her talk plainly about a hard upbringing without ever asking the audience to pity her, and Morgan's own flat, unshowy delivery does the rest — she states difficult facts about her family the way she'd state a stunt sequence, and that restraint is what makes her sudden moments of feeling land so hard.
