Morbo

Morbo is a green, hulking alien who co-anchors the news on Futurama, delivering doomsday pronouncements about humanity's extinction with the same flat authority his human co-anchor Linda uses for weather updates. He wants total conquest of Earth and cannot understand why nobody takes his warnings seriously.

The joke is structural: Morbo keeps announcing the literal apocalypse in a genial news-desk cadence, and the show never lets anyone react to it. Maurice LaMarche's booming, guttural delivery sells the menace completely straight, so the gap between his rhetoric and everyone's shrugging indifference does all the comedic work.
