Moon Patrol

Moon Patrol is one of the many background faces populating Futurama's sprawling future-New-York, a minor figure glimpsed doing exactly what the name suggests: keeping order somewhere out past Earth's atmosphere. He shows up, does his small job, and lets the show's bigger jokes happen around him.

Futurama's gift is treating even its throwaway characters like real people with jobs and opinions, and David Herman's flexible voice work gives Moon Patrol just enough gruff specificity to feel like part of a lived-in universe rather than filler, the kind of blink-and-you'll-miss-him presence that rewards rewatching.
