Monster

A hulking, monstrous creature that turns up to menace the crew of Planet Express, playing the stock role sci-fi shows love to parody: something huge, growling, and ostensibly terrifying that crashes into New New York's business as usual. It postures, it threatens, and it treats the moment with total, straight-faced menace.

The joke is entirely in the gap between the creature's scale and the show's refusal to take it seriously, and Maurice LaMarche leans into that with a booming, theatrical growl that sounds like it wandered in from a much more self-important monster movie. It's a small role that lands because the delivery never winks.
