Molly enters The Trip as a quieter presence among louder company, someone whose exact place in the story reveals itself slowly rather than all at once. She watches more than she speaks, taking the measure of the people around her before deciding how much of herself to offer them.

Ann Barbara O'Brien plays her with a stillness that makes the character legible in glances rather than lines, so that what Molly withholds becomes as interesting as what she says. It's a performance built on restraint, and it rewards a viewer who pays attention to the small stuff.
