Miss Delilah

Miss Delilah is a minor face in the sprawling world of Futurama, one of the many one-scene characters who pass through Planet Express's orbit. She appears briefly, says her piece, and moves on, existing mostly to add texture to the show's constant background hum of jokes and strangers.

The character works because Tress MacNeille is one of animation's great utility players, capable of dropping in for thirty seconds and making the voice fully specific rather than generic filler. Even a passing role gets a distinct rhythm and attitude, which is why Futurama's crowded margins never feel like empty space.
