Character
Minx
Minx in Futurama (1999), played by Lauren Tom.
Minx enters Futurama's world as a sharp, playful presence, quick with a sly remark and unbothered by what others think of her. She carries herself with confidence and a teasing edge, more interested in stirring things up than fitting quietly into the background of the crew.
Lauren Tom brings a nimble, mischievous energy to the role, finding comedy in quick timing rather than broad gags. The character works because she never overexplains herself — a raised eyebrow or a clipped line does the job, leaving just enough unsaid to make her fun to watch.
Minx is a female street racer who has suffered years of unspoken verbal abuse at the hands of her father, going so far as that being her only personality trait. She drives a purple hover car and is romantically attached to Benny, who saved her from her father somehow. Her fellow street racer asks repeatedly for a date and is turned down as a result.
