Mint

Mint turns up in the sprawling animated world of Big Mouth as one more strange, specific voice crowding into the hallways and bedrooms of adolescence. Introduced with little fanfare, the character exists mostly in reaction to the chaos around them, delivering lines with the dry, matter-of-fact cadence that defines this corner of the show's universe.

John Mulaney's deadpan is instantly recognizable, and Big Mouth knows exactly how to use it: understatement dropped into the middle of hormonal absurdity. Whatever the character's role, the voice alone does a lot of the comic work, turning small asides into the kind of line you quote back later without quite remembering the context.
