Mika Camarena

Mika Camarena is the wife of DEA agent Kiki Camarena, uprooted from California to Guadalajara for his new post. She is watchful and grounded, aware from the start that her husband's work carries real danger, trying to build an ordinary home life in a place that keeps reminding her it isn't safe.

The show could easily reduce her to a worried spouse waiting by the door, but Alyssa Diaz plays Mika with a clear-eyed practicality that refuses that shorthand. She reads the room, questions Kiki directly, and carries the domestic scenes with real weight, giving the audience someone whose fear feels earned rather than decorative.
