Michael Westen

Michael Westen is a spy who has just been burned—stripped of his credentials, frozen out of the intelligence world, and dumped broke in Miami with no idea who did it or why. He wants answers and reinstatement, and meanwhile survives by taking odd jobs helping desperate people, using tradecraft as both toolkit and narration.

Donovan plays him with a wry, controlled calm that turns spy-craft into stand-up: Michael's clipped voiceovers explain surveillance, interrogation, and improvised explosives like a patient teacher, which makes competence itself entertaining. Underneath the gadgetry is a real ache—a man who built his identity on being useful to his country and now has to prove it to himself, job by job.
