Mia Lyhne

Mia is Frank's girlfriend, sharing a home with him and his young stepdaughter in this mockumentary-style Danish comedy. She wants an ordinary, functioning domestic life, which puts her constantly at odds with Frank's cowardice, vanity and terrible ideas. She is patient, sharp-tongued when pushed, and usually the only adult in the room.

Playing a version of her own name and life, Mia Lyhne gives the show its ballast: everyone around her is absurd, so her dry, unimpressed reactions become the joke's real punchline. She underplays beautifully, letting silence and a flat stare do more damage to Frank's schemes than any shouted line could.
