Melllvar

Melllvar is a sentient ball of pure energy from a distant nebula who has fallen catastrophically in love with the theme song to a fictional 1960s spy show. He drifts into the Planet Express crew's orbit demanding they recreate his beloved program, growing petulant and dangerous when reality refuses to cooperate with his fandom.

Maurice LaMarche plays him as a diva throwing a tantrum with the power to melt steel, all wounded sincerity and grandiose menace. The joke is that he's basically a needy superfan who happens to be able to incinerate a planet, and LaMarche's booming, theatrical delivery makes that gap between petty desire and cosmic power delightfully absurd.
