Mei Mei

Mei Mei is a grade 1 sorcerer who treats exorcism like a business transaction, quoting fees before she lifts a finger and walking away from any job that stops being profitable. Cool, elegant, and openly mercenary, she works alongside her younger brother Ui Ui and views sentiment as a liability other sorcerers can't afford to indulge.

Her value system cuts against shonen convention — she isn't fighting for justice or friendship, just currency, and the show lets that stand without punishing her for honesty. Kotono Mitsuishi gives her a languid, unbothered delivery that makes her calculations sound reasonable even when they're chilling, and her scenes crackle because you never know which way her self-interest will point.
