Matt LeBlanc

Matt LeBlanc plays a fictional version of himself: a former sitcom megastar coasting on Friends residuals and diminishing goodwill, foisted onto a British couple's American pilot as a network's idea of a bankable lead. He's charming, self-mocking, a little desperate, and impressively unbothered by how badly he's wrecking someone else's show.

The joke only works because LeBlanc is willing to gut his own public image and mount it on the wall — vain, horny, professionally hollow, and yet oddly likable underneath the wreckage. He plays the bit with a straight face and real comic control, so the satire never curdles into cruelty; you end up rooting for the guy he's pretending to be too dumb to be.
