Marta is one of the costumed figures the dungeoneer stumbles across while blind-walking through the corridors and chambers of Knightmare's world, offering a clue, a bargain, or a hazard depending on the room. She speaks in the show's arch, theatrical register, testing the team's wits as much as their nerve.

Knightmare's charm always lived in these brief encounters — a performer given a costume, a few lines, and the job of making a green-screen corridor feel dangerous or strange. Jacquelin Joyce plays Marta with the straight-faced commitment the format needs, treating the game's rules as though they were real stakes, which is exactly what made children believe it too.
