Mario

Mario appears as one of the many minor faces populating the Futurama universe, a small presence glimpsed rather than dwelt on. He exists mostly at the edges of the frame, doing whatever the scene requires of him, without the show pausing to explain who he is or what he wants beyond that moment.

The pleasure here is Maurice LaMarche himself, an actor whose elastic voice can drop into a passing role and make it briefly vivid before the show moves on. Futurama is full of such throwaway sketches, and LaMarche's range is part of why even its smallest citizens feel like they belong to a lived-in world.
