Marcia Langdon

Marcia Langdon is an administrator at Hearst College, the kind of authority figure Veronica keeps having to talk her way past or around. She carries herself with brisk, unbothered composure, more interested in keeping the institution's image intact than in indulging a student detective's theories. Her office is a place Veronica visits when things have gotten serious.

Dawnn Lewis plays her with a dry, unimpressed steadiness that gives the college scenes a different texture from the Neptune sheriff's department scenes — bureaucracy instead of corruption, but just as capable of stonewalling. She's a small role that does real work, embodying the institutional wall Veronica has to talk, charm, or scheme her way through.
