Marc St. James

Marc St. James is Wilhelmina Slater's ruthlessly loyal assistant at Mode, a sharp-dressed gatekeeper who trades in gossip, put-downs, and social climbing. He treats fashion politics as blood sport and views Betty Suarez with amused contempt, delighting in undermining her at every turn while polishing his own ambitions.

Michael Urie plays Marc's cruelty with such crisp comic timing that the venom becomes the joke rather than the point, and underneath the barbs he lets flickers of loneliness and self-awareness show through. The writing gives him one-liners sharp enough to cut glass, but Urie makes sure you're laughing with him, not just at his victims.
