Manzou Sakami

Manzou is a small-time bounty hunter, scruffy and perpetually broke, who spots an easy payday in the two swordsmen making trouble in town. He's greedy, quick to boast, and just as quick to run when things turn violent — a comic operator always chasing the next score rather than the next fight.

He's the show's pressure valve: whenever the violence threatens to get too cool for its own good, Manzou stumbles in flailing and undercuts it. Ishizuka plays the bluster and the panic with the same conviction, so his cowardice never feels like a cheap gag — it feels like a real, funny, self-interested man surviving a world built for killers.
