Mandalorian

A masked bounty hunter working the outer reaches of a lawless galaxy, he takes jobs without asking many questions and lives by the strict, insular code of his Mandalorian creed. Gruff, competent, and solitary, he wants payment and little else — until a job hands him something he didn't expect to care about.

Pascal acts almost entirely through posture and voice, since the helmet never comes off, and somehow makes a masked man's silence read as full of feeling. The show bets everything on a stoic archetype developing a conscience in real time, and it pays off because his gruffness never feels like a performance of toughness — it feels earned.
