Man In Line

A stranger glimpsed only in a queue, waiting his turn for whatever bureaucratic indignity or absurd errand Futurama's New New York has cooked up that week. He grumbles, shuffles forward, and vanishes from the plot as quickly as he appeared — one more face in the crowd of a very strange future.

The joke is entirely in the voice: John DiMaggio, already doing heavy lifting as Bender, slips into a totally different register for a nothing part and makes it land anyway. It's a small reminder of how stacked Futurama's cast is — even the background noise gets a real performance.
