He turns up inside one of Futurama's fake in-universe commercials, the eager, grinning pitchman hawking some future-world product with total sincerity. He wants nothing more than for you to buy what he's selling, and he says so with the beaming, overcooked enthusiasm of every late-night infomercial huckster ever put on television.

The joke is entirely in the commitment: Maurice LaMarche, a voice actor capable of enormous range, pours real showbiz gusto into a nothing role, and that gap between effort and stakes is the gag. Futurama's throwaway commercials are some of its sharpest satire, and a good pitchman voice sells the bit in seconds.
