Makoto "Smile" Tsukimoto

Nicknamed "Smile" because he almost never does, Makoto Tsukimoto is a table tennis prodigy who seems curiously indifferent to his own talent. He plays a flat, defensive game, deflecting shots back with mechanical calm, and moves through school and matches alike with the same detached quiet, as if none of it quite touches him.
