Major Partagaz

Major Partagaz runs the Imperial Security Bureau from behind a desk, presiding over briefings where analysts report on unrest across the galaxy like weather patterns. He wants order, efficiency, and results, and he rewards ambitious subordinates who deliver them. Calm, precise, faintly weary, he treats galactic oppression as an administrative problem to be solved.

Anton Lesser plays him without a flicker of melodrama, which is precisely the point: Andor's argument is that empire runs on paperwork and performance reviews, not mustache-twirling, and Partagaz is the human face of that machinery. His scenes are quiet, procedural, and unsettling because nothing about him seems monstrous — until you notice what the memos are actually for.
