He runs the show behind the show: the harried functionary keeping Madison Cube Garden's stage on schedule while chaos of one kind or another threatens to derail whatever act is on. Brisk, businesslike, and entirely unimpressed by the strangeness around him, he just wants the performance to go on time.

He's a small cog given full comic weight by Maurice LaMarche's gift for exasperated authority — a voice built for barking orders at people who aren't listening. The joke is that a cube-shaped sci-fi arena still needs someone worrying about cues and curtains, and LaMarche plays that mundane stress completely straight.
