Madeline "Maddie" Bosch

Maddie is Harry Bosch's teenage daughter, sharp and watchful in the way of a kid raised partly on true-crime instincts. She splits time between her mother in Vegas and her father in LA, texting him through his cases, quietly absorbing the job that keeps pulling him away from her.

The show could easily reduce her to a worried-about prop, but it lets her be curious and capable instead, a kid who studies the work rather than resents it. Madison Lintz plays her with an easy, unforced intelligence, so the father-daughter scenes land as real conversation, not sentiment.
