Lydia

Lydia turns up half-starved and wary on the fringes of Alexandria's world, a young woman who has clearly survived by keeping her head down and trusting no one. She's cagey about where she comes from, quick to defend herself, and carries herself like someone who has learned that softness gets you killed.

McClincy plays her as a live wire of contradictions — flinching from kindness one moment, hungry for it the next — which makes her a genuinely unpredictable presence rather than a simple mystery box. The character forces the show to ask what survival costs a person raised inside real cruelty, and McClincy never lets the answer feel easy.
