Luke

Despite acting oblivious and easy to manipulate, Luke is shown to be quite intelligent and show compassion. When his loyalties are tested, he attempts to quit being a part of The Guard, not liking the idea of using force when the election arrives to choose a leader of New Ham. However, he has no other choice, as he is subtly threatened and will be out in exile if not joining.
