Lou is the magazine's lawyer, the one Vivian Kent has to get past before her Anna Delvey story can run. He reads every draft for liability, not scandal, and treats her obsession with weary skepticism—less interested in whether the story is juicy than whether it will survive a lawsuit.

Jeff Perry plays him as the newsroom's ballast, a voice of institutional caution in a story built on charm and self-invention. He's rarely flashy, but his skepticism gives Vivian something real to push against, and his scenes quietly test how much of journalism is instinct versus proof.
