Lord Roose Bolton

Bolton is Lord of the Dreadfort and bannerman to House Stark, first seen as a quiet, correct presence in Robb's war council. He speaks rarely, always in a flat, measured murmur, and never seems to want anything visibly enough to be suspected of wanting it at all.

McElhatton plays him as the calmest man in every room, and the show trusts that stillness to be more unsettling than any raised voice. His pale eyes and unhurried courtesy make him easy to overlook, which is precisely the character's design — a lesson in how the truly dangerous rarely announce themselves.
