Lindsay Jillian

Lindsay is Gretchen's best friend since childhood, coasting through an unhappy marriage to a man she doesn't seem to like much while doing as little as possible to fix it. She's vain, impulsive, and often oblivious, chasing fun and validation instead of growing up, but fiercely devoted to Gretchen underneath the mess.

Kether Donohue plays selfishness as something almost innocent, a childlike refusal to engage with consequences that could easily curdle into unlikability but instead becomes funny and oddly tender. The writing lets Lindsay be genuinely useless and genuinely loving in the same breath, and Donohue commits fully to both without ever winking at the audience.
