Lily Chan

Lily Chan works as an engineer at Amaya, the secretive tech giant run by the enigmatic Forest, and shares her life with fellow coder Sergei. She is watchful and self-contained, more comfortable trusting her own instincts than the reassurances offered by the people around her, and when something about Sergei's sudden absorption into the company's mysterious Devs division feels wrong, she starts quietly pulling at the thread.

Sonoya Mizuno plays Lily with a stillness that reads as strength rather than reticence, letting small shifts in her face carry the suspicion the script won't yet spell out. Garland gives her the audience's skepticism as a character trait, and Mizuno turns that skepticism into propulsion, making a quiet investigator feel like the most alert person in every room.
