Grace Billets commands Hollywood Division's Homicide Unit, and she runs it with the weary competence of someone who has heard every excuse a detective can offer and stopped being impressed by most of them. She protects her people from the brass when they deserve it, and cuts them loose when they don't. Politics bore her; results don't.
