Relocated to Mars and kitted out with a winged jetpack, this Da Vinci is less Renaissance saint than blustering huckster-genius, forever pitching half-mad inventions and taking credit for anyone else's cleverness. He struts, he inflates his own legend, and he clearly enjoys being famous far more than being right.

Maurice LaMarche pours pure Orson Welles into every syllable, turning a historical icon into a preening con artist who still somehow seems brilliant. The joke is the gap between reputation and reality, and LaMarche's booming, self-satisfied delivery makes that gap sing every single time he opens his mouth.
