Leon Black

Leon Black shows up as a houseguest and never quite leaves, installing himself in Larry David's life with the confidence of a man who has never once doubted his own read on a room. He dispenses advice on women, money, and manners nobody asked for, treats other people's homes and wallets as communal property, and seems constitutionally incapable of embarrassment.

J.B. Smoove built Leon almost entirely out of rhythm and swagger, stacking outrageous street-corner logic and filthy metaphors into monologues that sound improvised because much of them are. He works as pure comic contrast: where Larry spirals into anxious rules-lawyering, Leon simply declares reality into being, and somehow it lands.
