Leo Johnson

Leo Johnson is a truck driver in Twin Peaks with a sharp suit, a hair-trigger temper, and a wife, Shelly, whom he terrorizes at home. He runs with a rougher crowd than the town lets on, smuggling and dealing in the margins, all easy smiles and menace whenever anyone might be watching him closely.

Eric Da Re plays him as pure surface charm curdling into violence, which makes him one of the show's clearest signals that Twin Peaks' prettiness hides real rot. He's frightening in a way that isn't supernatural at all, just plain domestic cruelty, and that grounding gives the show's stranger horrors somewhere human to stand next to.
