Leah Shaw is a solitary survivor Daryl stumbles upon deep in the woods, a woman who has built a hidden, self-sufficient life away from any community. Sharp with a bow, guarded with strangers, and unwilling to explain herself easily, she meets his curiosity with quiet suspicion, clearly more comfortable alone than depending on anyone else.

Lynn Collins plays wariness as its own language, letting small gestures — a held breath, a level stare — say what Leah won't. The writing keeps her mysterious without making her coy, giving Daryl (and us) a mirror for his own isolation. She works because her self-containment feels earned, not performed.
