Leah Danvers

Leah is the teenage daughter of Ennis, Alaska's police chief Liz Danvers, caught between her mother's guardedness and her own quiet rebellion. She's drawn to the town's Indigenous community and its protests against the mine, testing boundaries her mother would rather keep shut, and figuring out who she is apart from the house she grew up in.

Isabella LaBlanc plays Leah with a watchful stillness that makes her feel like the show's conscience-in-training — a teenager absorbing the town's buried tensions before the adults around her will name them. The writing uses her small domestic frictions with her mother to open onto much larger fractures, and LaBlanc never overplays it.
