Larry Trainor / Negative Man

Larry Trainor lives wrapped in bandages, sharing his body with a radioactive energy being he can't control, and hiding the man he was before an accident remade him. Withdrawn and precise, he keeps his distance from the other misfits at the Doom Patrol's crumbling mansion, treating his condition less as a superpower than a private shame he manages alone.

The show splits him in two: Matt Bomer voices the ache underneath the wrappings while Matthew Zuk plays the bandaged man's stillness and control. That doubling turns Larry's negative energy into a metaphor that never feels heavy-handed — a man who spent his life closeting parts of himself now literally contains an entity he's afraid to let out.
