Laoghaire MacKenzie

Laoghaire is a young serving girl at Castle Leoch, shy and lovesick, nursing an obvious crush on Jamie Fraser long before Claire arrives. She's sweet-faced and eager, still half a child in the ways of the world, and she watches the new English healer with a wariness that curdles fast into jealousy.

Nell Hudson plays her as genuinely young rather than simply catty, so her jealousy reads as heartbreak instead of villainy.
