Kurapika

Kurapika arrives at the Hunter Exam calm, formal, and unnervingly composed for a boy his age. He is the last of the Kurta clan, and he has one purpose: to become strong enough to find and punish the people who destroyed his people. He speaks softly, plans meticulously, and rarely lets anyone see what it costs him.

His control is the whole point — a grief so total he's built an entire personality to contain it, cracking only into scarlet-eyed fury when the wound is touched directly. Miyuki Sawashiro plays the stillness as effortful rather than natural, so every flash of rage lands like something breaking. The show trusts restraint to be riveting, and he proves it.
