Klair

Klair turns up as one of the many locals whose orbit the displaced Rose family suddenly finds itself in, a small-town fixture who takes the town's rhythms for granted in a way that baffles the newcomers. She is easygoing, direct, and unbothered by the family's finer-city airs.

Meaghan Rath plays her with a dry, unfussy naturalism that plays nicely against the show's more heightened performances, grounding scenes in something recognizably human. The part is small but well-observed, the kind of local color that makes Schitt's Creek's town feel lived-in rather than just a backdrop for jokes.
