Kirin O'Conner

Kirin O'Conner washes up on the island as one of the group of teenage boys stranded together, and he's the kind of guy used to being watched: confident, athletic, quick with a joke, clearly carrying the weight of a father whose reputation looms over him. He wants to be seen as more than a name.

Charles Alexander plays the easy charisma first and lets the strain show underneath it slowly, so the golden-boy exterior never feels like the whole story. The show is interested in what performing confidence costs a teenager, and Kirin becomes the clearest, most sympathetic case study in that pressure.
