King Bradley

Führer King Bradley rules Amestris with a genial smile and a soldier's bearing, beloved as a war hero and a devoted family man. He hosts, jokes, and reassures the Elric brothers of his goodwill even as his authority reaches into every corner of the state. Calm, courteous, and utterly in control, he never seems to raise his voice.

Shibata plays him with an unhurried warmth that never quite settles the viewer, a genial baritone that makes every scene feel slightly too comfortable. The writing uses that ease as camouflage, letting an eyepatch, a sword, and a politician's patience sit right beside something the story is clearly not telling you yet.
