Killbot #2

Killbot #2 is a footnote in Futurama's satire of shoddy futuristic engineering: a mass-produced robot whose factory-installed "kill everyone" setting occasionally misfires into the real world. Introduced amid a news report or background gag rather than a starring plot, it behaves exactly as advertised — blankly, mechanically murderous — before someone shrugs and moves on.

The joke is entirely in the deadpan bureaucracy around it: nobody is shocked that a robot model is prone to homicidal malfunctions, only mildly inconvenienced. John DiMaggio's flat, growling delivery treats slaughter as routine product failure, which is funnier than any punchline could be, and it's a sly showcase of how far Futurama could stretch a single joke through pure institutional indifference.
